Glendale referendum voters fail to overturn the Phoenix Coyotes deal

Glendale Arizona residents seeking an end to the city's Phoenix Coyotes $324 million deal did not hand in the required signatures this week.

Coyotes would-be-owner Greg Jamison has not yet purchased the team from the NHL.

Additionally, Phoenix Coyotes team captain Shane Doan, is now an unrestricted free agent.

Two men are still working on the petitions and are considering filing them next week with Glendale and/or mounting a legal challenge.
